A well-placed call to old buddy Oprah by Jennifer Aniston allowed the two ladies to set the record straight.. at least for today, reports People.

Everyone is talking about Oprah Winfrey’s Monday show, during which Aniston called in to chat about all the tabloid gossip being written about the duo, particularly Aniston.

Oprah made it clear to viewers that she is not providing her estate to hold a lavish $8 million wedding Aniston and current honey, comic actor Vince Vaughn. She is not arranging a wedding of the century for the pair, as reported, nor is she purchasing them a $1 million wedding gift.

As for the rumors that the couple has been in Chicago looking for a new love nest, Aniston was matter-of=fact: “No, I’m good, actually. I’ve got my house.”

Sources in L.A. reportedly told TMZ.com that Aniston has stopped her house-hunting here, but that up until a few months ago, Aniston was seriously trying to find a new home when the search was abruptly halted.

“(The rumors) are so unbelievable,” said Aniston. “For us, I guess, at a certain point, you have no other choice but to think it’s funny.”

“I do want you near me,” Winfrey told Aniston, “but you can live where you want to live, honey.”

Looking through a gossip rag, Winfrey said it had also wrongly reported that she and longtime companion Steadman Graham were splitting.

When Winfry asked if there were anything else Aniston wanted to talk about, Aniston responded, “No wedding, no moves, no.. no,” said Aniston. “I’ll keep you posted.”

During a Today appearance earlier this month, reporter Jill Rappaport made a faux pax when she asked Aniston about the alleged wedding, after having agreed not to do do. Fellow guest Catherine Keener, who was appearing with Aniston, intervened on Aniston’s behalf:

“I thought you weren’t going to go there!” While Rappaport was smart enough to acknowledge Keener’s instinct to protect Aniston, she unfortunately pursued the conversation, saying she was still curious about the wedding rumors because she herself had never been to an $8 million wedding.

“And now you won’t be,” snapped Keener. Aniston sat quietly and watched the action, but did not jump into the conversation.
