Troubled star Lindsay Lohan is “amazing”, “great” and “happy” four weeks into her stint in a Los Angeles rehab, according to her mother Dina.

Lohan checked into the Wonderland Center on January 18 in a bid to “take care of my personal health”.

Dina says it’s having a positive affect on the actress. She tells People magazine, “She’s amazing. She’s great and she’s happy. She’s in a really good space right now.”

Lindsay Lohan has upset residents of the Los Angeles rehab facility she checked into earlier this month because they claim she’s treating the facility like a hotel.

The fellow residents seeking counseling at the Wonderland center are upset with Lohan’s trips out of the facility and the fact she’s being allowed to continue working on her new movie while in rehab.

The final straw reportedly came Thursday when the star took a break from rehab to have her Mercedes serviced and shop. Sources at Wonderland have aired their grievances to TMZ.com, claiming the actress is getting special treatment.

They also tell the site Lohan has a masseur, hairstylist and makeup artist, who visit her regularly. But the actress’ publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick, insists Lohan is taking rehab seriously, and the criticism is unwarranted.

She says, “Lindsay is 100 percent not getting special treatment. She’s getting the same as everyone else. This isn’t the Betty Ford Clinic, it’s not a lockdown facility. There is personal time. All these naysayers who keep blogging and speaking out … they don’t know what she’s going through, they’re not there. They shouldn’t speak until they’ve gone through something like that.”

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan’s doctors have given the actress the all-clear to return to the set of her new movie Friday.

The 20-year-old checked herself into rehab in Los Angeles last week and will continue her treatment at night and shoot during the day.

The doctor treating her appendix problems has given the OK for her to resume shooting the thriller “I Know Who Killed Me.” The star plays a stripper suffering from dual personalities after a brutal kidnapping.

The star’s representative says, “All is good. She will be back at work soon.” Production was halted at the beginning of the month, when Lohan was reportedly hospitalized with appendicitis.

Doctors demanded she take a break from making the film, where she was required to shoot strenuous pole-dancing scenes.

Lindsay Lohan wasted no time hitting the town after having her appendix taken out she was seen partying in Hollywood just days after undergoing surgery.

The star had her appendix removed on Thursday and was photographed leaving a Los Angeles hospital on Friday morning.

According to veteran Hollywood gossip columnist Janet Charlton, Lohan was seen dancing with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker until 5 a.m. Saturday morning at a West Hollywood party.

Lindsay was also seen drinking a clear substance from a water bottle and smoking in between dances.

Kevin Federline doesn’t waste time. On December 22, less than a month after ex Britney Spears partied with Lindsay Lohan, the aspiring rapper, 28, texted the actress, 20, suggesting, “We should hang out.”

But, as reported in the new issue of Us Weekly, the invite went over about as well as K-Fed’s debut album. “She was totally grossed out,” a Lohan pal tells Us.

Says another, “She thought it was hilarious.”

However, Federline didn’t appreciate Lohan’s “Why would I hang out with you?” reply. He fired back, calling her a “firecrotch.”

Says the source, “She couldn’t believe he was so pathetic. She doesn’t want him using her to make Britney jealous.” Both in Miami to ring in 2007, Lohan avoided Federline at Mansion nightclub on New Year’s Eve.
