Notebook director baffled by Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams romance

Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams‘ romance baffles the director of the movie on which they met - because he was sure they hated each other according to WENN.
They have become a Hollywood hope story at a time when so many other young couples are splitting up, but Nick Cassavetes still can’t believe his The Notebook stars are dating.
He says, “They hated each other. They didn’t talk to each other. They had separate everything.”
“I remember once there’s about 100 people sitting around and they’re doing a scene where they’re talking. She (McAdams) walks in and Ryan says, ‘Where have you been? It’s so good to see you.’
“He says to me, ‘Nick, come here. I’m not getting anything from her in the scene. Do you think you can bring somebody else in for my off-camera shot?’ I said, ‘I’m not gonna do that.’
“I gave them five minutes and they warred and had a big screaming match. And now they’re dating? You know there’s that old adage, a thin line between love and hate.”
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are reportedly engaged
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are reportedly engaged. According to Life & Style mag, the pair have decided to renew their pledge to wed after a “touchy” reconciliation following a rocky period in their relationship.
“Ryan didn’t have to repropose,” says an insider.
“He and Rachel just agreed it was time to think about getting married again because they had worked out their problems. Ryan says he’s thrilled that Rachel is wearing her engagement ring again, which Ryan gave her early in 2005. It was always a secret engagement, and they will never confirm it publicly, but it’s back on, and they’re happy again, planning some family vacations together and doing the private-party rounds to support Ryan’s role in Half Nelson. Ryan says they’re looking for a good time to slip away and do it, and he’s even said New Year’s might be the perfect time for him and Rachel to make things permanent. Starting a family and sharing their lives together is so much more important to them than which magazine they can sell their wedding pictures to.”
